Let’s cook.
Ingredients will need
Most of them are probably already in their kitchen, and if not, they will set a quick grocery store in no time.
For the soup:
- 1 LB beef meat meat (80/20 for the best taste)
- 6 slices bacon (crispy and chopped)
- 1 small onion (seasoned)
- 2 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 3 cups of beef broth
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 ounces of cream cheese (changed, room temperature)
- 1 TL mustard (yellow or dijon)
- 1 TL Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon smoked peppers
- ½ tl onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon of salt (adjust to the taste)
- ½ tl black pepper
- ½ TL Red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
For toppings (optional but very recommended):
- Extra Shred Cheddar
- Chopped green onions
- sour cream
- Diceed cucumber
- Crumbled bacon
Step-by-step cooking instructions
1. Cook the bacon
Start with medium heat in a large pot or Dutch oven. You want it crispy, so do not hurry up this part. As soon as you’re done, remove it and have it dripped on a paper towel. Leave a little bacon fat in the pot – this will give the soup so much taste.
2. Brown the beef wood meat
In the same pot, add the beef minced meat. Cook until it is tanned and no longer pink, and break it up with a spatula while he cooks. Leave excess fat when there is too much, but leave a little for the taste.
3. Fry the onion and the garlic
Throw the diced onion and let it boil for about 2 minutes until it becomes soft. Add the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds to fragrant. You don’t want the garlic to burn, so stir.
4. Add the spices and aroma booster
Now comes the funny part – season! Stir the mustard, the Worcestershire sauce, the smoked peppers, the onion powder, the garlic powder, the salt, the black pepper and the red pepper flakes when you use them. Let them cook for about a minute to wake up the flavors.
5. Pour into the beef broth
Slowly pour the beef broth when stirring and make sure that everything is well mixed. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to mix all the flavors.
6. Add the cream cheese
Let the seasoned cream cheese fall and let it melt with occasional stirring. At first it may look a little lumpy, but just stir on – it will smooth out.
7. Pour in the heavy cream
As soon as the cream cheese has melted completely, add the cream slowly when stirring. Here the soup becomes rich and creamy.
8. Melt the Cheddar cheese
Turn the heat to low and gradually stir in the crushed cheddar. Continue to stir until it is completely melted and smooth. If the heat is too high, the cheese can get clumpy, so go slowly.
9. Add the bacon
Crumble the crispy bacon and stir it into the soup to save a little to garnish.
10. Cooking and serving
Let the soup simmer for another 5 minutes with occasional stirring. If it is too thick, add a little more broth. If it is too thin, let it simmer for longer.
Take it in bowls and give it with additional cheese, green onions, sour cream, seasoned cucumber or whatever you love on a cheeseburg.

Even simple recipes can go sideways if they don’t be careful. Here are a few things you should pay attention to:
- High heat and cheese do not mix – Always melt cheese over low heat to avoid a granular texture.
- Too much bacon fat – A little is good for taste, but too much the soup can make too greasy. Drain excess fat if necessary.
- Skip the spices – Do not miss the mustard and Worcestershire. You add this classic cheeseburger taste.
