I always thought that after work, women can look forward to a nice quiet vacation and a good recovery time. Instead, we get a precious baby and the lack of sleep that you often accompanies you. This recipe for DIY seat bath is at least a little healing and pampering, which you can look forward to during the restoration after birth.
Postpartum seat Bath
Herbs are wonderful for birth and help to accelerate the recovery time. I used My salvation Both on a Caesarean section and a small tear (after the second day) to accelerate the healing and they worked great. This seating bath recipe uses a vegetable infusion in a relaxed bathroom to facilitate the pain and accelerate recovery. You can also use it in a Peri bottle or a cooled pad to get additional comfort.
I used a variety of herbs here, but you don’t need everyone. Here is what kind of hip bath is and why you are so good for new mothers!
What is a hip bath?
The seat comes from the German word sitting, which means to sit. It is a little soaked for your butt that brings the targeted relief into the genital area. You can help relieve pain, increase blood flow into the area and to accelerate healing. Seat baths are recommended for:
- Hemorrhoids
- Anal fissures
- Episiotomy stings
- Pain or damaged vulva and perineal area
- Painful rectum or anal area
It is perfect for birth after birth! Even if you have not torn during the contractions, the warm water and soothing herbs help to reduce symptoms and swelling.
How to take a hip bath (two options)
Drugs sell seat -bath kits that fit into their toilet bowl. These consist of a flat pool and sometimes a bag that feeds warm water in the seat pool. You can also find a simple plastic seat shell without bags or approaches. These are beautiful because they concentrate the calming water exactly where they need it.
If you don’t have a seat -bath bowl, the bathtub also works. However, it should be cleaned before each use. You don’t want germs or old soap foam on your still healing soil!
Here you can find out how to make a hip -up bath step by step:
- If you use a hip bath, put the clean container under the toilet seat. Fill about 1/2 full of warm water or herbal tea and bitter salt. Make sure that the water temperature is not too hot to avoid burning.
- If you use a bathtub, make sure that the tub has just been cleaned and fill it with several centimeters of warm water. You want the water to cover your thighs when you sit in it. You will add your herbal tea and/or bitter salt into the flat bathroom.
- Soak 1-4 times a day 10-20 minutes in the warm water in the warm water.
- Pat the area dry with a clean towel or let it dry air. Do not scrub the area.
What is to be operated in a hip bathroom
Now that you know what a seat pool is and how you work, what should you add to yours? There are a variety of herbs that are gentle and help to heal the delicate area (more on this below). You can also add a little baking powder and bitter salt to your hip bath to accelerate the healing process.
If you have hemorrhoids, try a small witch hazel on the rectum after your bathroom. There are also a few things that shouldn’t go to a hip bath!
While I love essential oils, they don’t disperse alone in water and they are too hard for the delicate perineum area. Fragrance bathing salts, bubble bathroom and similar products should also be avoided.
