I have already shared my homemade baby care recipes, but I get many questions about variations for natural diaper rash cream. After playing around with some recipes, I found one that is much more effective! This homemade diaper rash cream is gentle and names on the baby’s skin.
How to make a natural diaper cutting cream cream
For a very specific reason, I selected all the ingredients in this homemade diaper rash cream recipe for diaper cream. Together they really fight to fight the baby’s diaper rash. They are great for little ones with sensitive skin to protect the baby’s butt from irritation. And if you have a rash, it helps to clarify it quickly.
I use for this recipe:
- Shea butter – This is one of the core ingredients in DIY Windle rash cream because it contains vitamins A and E. It soothes the skin and protects it from drying out thanks to its essential fatty acids.
- Coconut oil – I use coconut oil for most things, but it is particularly helpful for changing diapers. It is a mild natural antibacterial and antifungal. In many types of diaper outlets, coconut oil is quite effective when used alone, but it is even better with other ingredients. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties, but can cause some allergies. If you notice skin irritation with coconut oil, extra naturally native olive oil is a good replacement. Simply increase the beeswax in the recipe to maintain the same consistency.
- Beeswax – This offers a protective barrier on the skin. It also helps to thicken and keep the other ingredients on the skin so that they can be effective.
- Liver oil – A secret ingredient to heal the baby’s butt. Fish oil is often used in the diaper creams in a merchants, but I prefer liver oil. This ingredient is optional but helpful.
- Bentonite tone – helps control moisture and fight bacteria on the skin that can make the rash worse.
zinc oxide
This is the last ingredient in my homemade diaper rash cream. Needed In popular business brands such as Desitin, zinc oxide fends off and littered the skin. If it is mixed with the other ingredients, it makes the skin waterproof and prevents it from drying out.
Be sure to use non-nano zinc oxide because it is less likely that it picks up in the skin. This is also the main ingredient in my homemade sunscreen.
Do you want to buy it
Not in the mood to DIY or have no time? Here are a few cloth diaper safe, natural diaper rashes that you can buy online.
Tower diaper Safe diaper rash cream
If you use cloth diapers, zinc oxide can color them. The zinc does not wear a leaky diaper, but if you prefer not to have potential stains, you can omit it from the recipe. In this way, the diaper cream is a little less creamy and thinner.
The only other ingredient that is known that it is unsure for cloth diapers is petroleum. In products such as Vaseline, it creates a waterproof layer on the cloth and causes leaks. Fortunately, you will not find oil in this recipe!
This recipe can be used safely as with cloth diapers. However, if you want to avoid stains, let the zinc out.
Herbs and essential oils
If you add this recipe to calming herbs, you can do it even better for the baby’s skin. If you want, you can first infuse the coconut oil with herbs such as calendula, cooking bananas and/or lavender. Here you will find instructions on how to produce a herbal oil infused by solar.
I also want to add a few drops of essential oils to my diaper rash cream. Use only essential baby toils and make sure that you first dilute properly! Essential chamomile essential oil, essential oil and essential lavender oil are good options. They are generally considered safe to use 0.25% in infants from 4 months with dilution of 0.25%. This corresponds to about 1-2 drops per 2 tablespoon of carrier oil.
Yeast deflection
Of course we have bacteria and yeast in our intestine, but sometimes you can get out of balance. Babies in particular have immature immune systems and are susceptible to yeast infections that cause diaper outlets. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are some signs:
- Deep red or purple skin stains
- A shiny rash
- Bumps filled with liquid
- Cracks, dry skin
- Itchy, slightly painful skin
Antimycotic ingredients such as tea tree oil are a great way to combat a yeast diaper rash. It is also important to change the baby more often to keep the area dry. And if you breastfeed, you can also notice the thrush (Candida overgrown) on your nipples.
Homemade diaper rash cream recipe
This diaper rash cream is more effective than all other options that I tried. The natural ingredients are ideal for the sensitive skin of the baby!
Yield: 5 Ounce
-
Mix shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax in a double boiler or a glass bowl over a small saucepan with a little water. Bring the water to a boil.
-
Stir occasionally until everything has melted.
-
Take off the stove and whisk the liver oil, zinc oxide, bentonite and etheric oil (if used).
-
Carefully stir in while it cools down. I recommend using an ice cream on the stem or a disposable straw to stir so that it can be rejected because it is difficult to remove the mixture of dishes.
-
Pour the diaper rash cream in your heat -resistant container and stir a few more times as you cool down.
-
Store in an airtight container like a glass in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months. This will take up to 1 year when the cod lever oil is left out.
-
Use diaper rash or prevention as required.
If you omit the cod liver oil and/or the zinc oxide, reduce the essential oils to 5 drops (if used).
Another simple option is simply breast milk! Some studies show that breast milk of course treats rashes and eczema better than a steroid cream.
