Green tea is formally known as Camellia sinensis and is a great way to absorb tired skin. Camellia Sinensis Blattextrakt gains popularity in toners, cleaning agents and moisturizing. While brands bought in the shop give you this damp look, I am not a fan of some ingredients. Toxic parabens and retinol and tongues -twister such as butylene glycol and ethylhexylglycerin, to name just a few.
Some green tea add ingredients such as panthenol, squalan, allantoin and peptides. These have their advantages, but can be difficult to get outside a laboratory. In this green tea serum, simple, natural ingredients are used for simple skin care.
Green tea skin advantages
Most of us know how healthy a cup of green tea can be, but it is also great for our skin. Green tea has high antioxidants and polyphenols such as EGCG. To protect against skin damage from UV rays and pollution.
The Green Tea polyphenols also help to restore vitamin. Our skin needed to collagen. In this way, it can help combat fine lines and improve the strength and skin tone. The properties in the green tea help to calm irritation and reddening of the skin and to calm the inflammation.
Green tea also contains caffeine that strengthens the circulation to the skin. Sometimes they find caffeine in eye creams to reduce dark spots and swelling into lower eye. Caffeine also reduces cellulite by reducing fat molecules deep in the skin.
It is important to note that the use of green tea topically is not the best way to get in shape. Studies that show that the cellulite advantages used high caffeine levels. While green tea can help improve the skin, it is still important to make healthy food selection.
Those who deal with acne or oily skin can also benefit from adding green tea to their skin care. It not only reduces the sebum, but also reduces inflammation and redness.
Apricose kernel oil
The other most important ingredient in this serum is apricot kernel oil. It is not only not fatty, but also deep moisturizing and a great option for dry skin, irritated or sensitive skin types. Apricotic core oil is also high in vitamin A and essential fatty acids to improve skin elasticity. It is also high in vitamin E to protect the skin from oxidative damage and inflammation.
Apricotic seeds are unique because they have the best known concentration of vitamin B-17 worldwide. B17 is also known as amygdaline and is examined for its potential advantages against cancer. In an overview of 2023, it is examined how B17 may not only kill cancer cells, but can also inhibit their growth and spread. While there is no conclusive evidence of the anti-cancer advantage of Apricot Kernel, research is promising.
Add essential oils to the green tea serum
Essential oils offer this a beautiful fragrance and have many of their own skin advantages. There are many essential skin with a variety of advantages. You can choose your favorites, but here are the ones I used and why.
Ylang ylang
Ylang Ylang stimulates cell growth and has anti-aging advantages. It reduces inflammation and harmful bacteria on the skin and also does it well for acne. Ylang Ylang is good for a variety of skin types and has many aromatherapy advantages. This essential oil helps us to stay calm in stressful situations and can even lower blood pressure. It also works well in a calming pillow spray.
It has a strong fragrance, so smell it before adding it to your serum. I like to add it in small quantities to add the overall serum (not overwhelming!). Ylang ylang can irritate the skin if it is used over a dilution of 0.8%. This green tea serum uses less than 0.5%, but you can easily cut off the amount when preferred.
Essential oil made of sweet orange
In contrast to most essential citrus oils, the sweet orange is not phototoxic. This means that it does not cause burns and skin damage if they are used before the sun exposure. Orange’s fruity notes help to compensate for the deeper flowers of the ylang ylang oil. It reduces errors and raises the mood to reduce stress.
You don’t have the essential oil from Ylang Ylang and Orange? There are some other good options to add here:
- Tea tree
- lavender
- incense
- rose
- geranium
