Homemade remineralization of toothpaste recipe

I have already mentioned how I stopped the tooth decay and helped memory of the teeth. For a healthy melting, it is important to concentrate on a good diet and have a great oral care routine. If you have to do with sensitive teeth, this homemade helps, the toothpaste is reminiscent of returning and preventing demineralization!

When I worked actively on my cavities, I used a two -part approach. First I addressed my mineral values through what I ate and drank. I also used a natural memory toothpaste to repair emails. Since then I have found an enormous improvement in tooth sensitivity and no new caries!

A reminding toothpaste

There is a lot of information about the remineralization of tooth, a process that many previously considered impossible for impossible dentists. This article describes science behind toothedization and which food to eat (and to avoid)! You will also learn why most toothpaste ingredients, including those with natural ingredients, are not the best.

Conventional formulations such as Sensodyne reduce tooth sensitivity with fluoride and potassium nitrate. Although I am not a fan of fluoride, there are other problems with some brands that claim that they are reminiscent.

Keading acid, especially for toothpastes, can sometimes be too hard. The SLS for foams can lead to sensitivity to mouth and gums. Nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste has recently gained popularity as an alternative to fluoridated toothpaste, but also problems. Here you can read more about it.

Over the years I have uncovered a lot about a healthy mouth. What I found reflects my own experiences with natural, fluoride -free toothpaste and a reminding diet.

Natural toothpaste

After using this toothpaste, I definitely noticed big changes in my teeth. It is removed by the accumulation to obtain the teeth whitening and lets you feel really clean. Others who tried it told me the same thing.

The most surprising change in my teeth was that they are no longer sensitive! As long as I can remember, I let me bite to bite everything (or even to think about it!), Showers and injured my front teeth. After changing my dental care, I noticed that I could eat cold food without my teeth hurt. I have never done that before!

This toothpaste recipe is registered and since it has no fluoride, it is safe for babies, toddlers and those with thyroid problems.

Ingredients and substitutions

Over the years I have made several toothpaste recipes with different ingredients. All of them have ingredients that contribute to the enamel (and improves sensitivity) to a certain extent. Here are the ingredients and what they do for a healthier mouth

  • calcium – I used to use calcium carbonate in this recipe to support the reconstruction of enamel. Although it is still a good option, calcium phosphate is even better. You can even use finely powder -shaped dried egg shells for calcium if you are preferred. A coffee grinder is well suited for this.
  • baking powder – A gentle abrasive that helps clean your teeth and reduce the plaque accumulation.
  • Pebble earth – Mineral -rich and full of silica for strong teeth and bones. It is also slightly abrasive to clean teeth.
  • Xylitol – add some sweetness to compensate for the mineral taste. Xylitol also has many advantages of oral health and helps prevent cavities. If you prefer not to add it, you can replace it with a little stevia to taste.
  • Coconut oil – This helps to contract everything and turn it into a toothpaste from a powder. Coconut oil also reduces the plaque, prevent gingivitis and compensates for oral bacteria. If your house is colder, you can replace half of the solid coconut oil with fractionated coconut oil or MCT oil.
  • Essential oils – These add antimicrobial properties for oral health and refresh the breath. Some good options are Cassia Cinnamon, Nelke, peppermint, Spearmm, Myrrh or Sweet Orange. Start a little and increase as desired in the recipe to avoid irritation.
  • Mouth oil – Instead of adding essential oils, try a prefabricated healthy mouth oil. I like this from wellness, which contains ingredients such as Manuka and essential cinnamon and mint oil.

A note on abrasiveness: There was a few worry that pebbles of earth or baking powder on the teeth could be too hard. Although we don’t want to wear up en shoulder, de and baking powder, gentle options can be. The baking powder rings with a hardness in the Mohs hardness of 2.5 compared to silica at 6 or 7. DE with a score of 1 to 1.5 is even gentler than that.

  • Mix the calcium, the pebbles, baking powder and xylitol in a bowl.

  • Add the coconut oil a little one after the other until you reach the desired consistency.

  • Add essential oils or balanced mouth mixtures when used.

  • Store in a small glass.

  • Use a clean ice cream on the stem or a spoon to draw something on a toothbrush. Do not immerse the toothbrush in the glass while introducing bacteria and let it spoil it faster.

  • Storage and durability: Store up to 2 years in a cool place outside the direct sunlight. Replace it when it starts to smell or look discolored.

  • The amount of coconut oil can vary that you have to form for paste consistency can vary from 1 and 1/2 tablespoons to 2 and 1/2 tablespoons of coconut oil. You can also replace half of the solid coconut oil with fractionated or MCT oil if your house is cold. This stops getting too hard!
  • If you don’t have a 1/2 single spoon, it is the same as 1 and 1/2 teaspoon.

Further options for natural oral care

Oral hygiene contains more than just toothpaste! Here are some other healthy oral products for making or buying. I recorded my brand well nesse for those who are too busy or just want a ready -made option.

The inner side of remineralization

Remineralization does not only occur in the mouth. Simply using a toothpaste with a higher concentration of minerals is probably not enough to help the teeth. Remineralization is a full body process. To make it happen, we need enough of certain nutrients, especially minerals and fat -soluble vitamins.

When I was actively working on reminiscent of my teeth, I concentrated on a certain nutrient -rich diet. I also avoided food with sugar and phytic acid and added other lifestyle factors to increase the nutrient content. You can read my daily oral health in this post.

Getting enough minerals and fat -soluble vitamins is not only important because they support the body as a whole, but also create a mineral saliva. Our body needs a healthy saliva to deliver the necessary nutrients to the teeth.

I saw the best results with this two -track approach: eating for oral health and using this toothpaste!
